What is a CCV seal of approval pen test?
Organisations have their systems tested through pen testing (formally penetration testing). Researchers (ethical hackers), within the set agreements with the client, pretend to be a malicious hacker. In this way, they try to detect vulnerabilities by using the same techniques as cyber criminals. This reveals weaknesses in the systems and allows the organisation to take targeted measures. In this way, organisations ensure and increase the security of their website, application or entire IT infrastructure. Including associated processes and protocols.
CCV hallmark pen testing: get certified
When you test the cyber security of other organisations through pen testing, it makes sense to get certified for the CCV Mark of Quality Pentesting. This is because it demonstrates that your organisation carries out these pen tests to a qualitative standard. DigiTrust tests organisations according to this quality mark from the Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety (CCV) and has the licence to do so.
By doing so, you show that your organisation has reliable employees and that you conduct cybersecurity testing in a professional manner.

CCV certification stands for quality
The CCV sees a pen test as one of the most important means of testing the cyber resilience of IT infrastructure. By deploying ethical hackers, all digital systems can be realistically tested. The CCV has drawn up quality requirements for performing a pen test. In doing so, you as the testing organisation should also meet the set qualifications. Renewed Quality mark pentesting
The CCV quality mark for pen testing was first introduced in April 2021. Providers of pen testing with the hallmark demonstrate that they meet the desired quality. The CCV hallmark was developed in cooperation with the police, insurers, MKB-Nederland and VNO-NCW.
- From 1 January 2024, the CCV Quality Mark Pentesting has been officially renewed.
All audits take place according to the new certification scheme of Keurmerk Pentesten (Version 2.0). It is important to go through the new version carefully.
