Practice review
For this second phase of the assessment process, known as field testing, the information security management system must have been implemented about three months beforehand. In this phase, we use objective standards to examine whether the documented system is sufficiently implemented in your business operations and whether the system is actually and effectively operated in accordance with.
To do so, we carry out spot checks during operations and test the processes. Based on interviews with your employees, we examine whether your quality and information security policy regarding the relevant processes and systems is effective. Your employees do not need to know procedures or protocols by heart. However, they do need to know where things are described. Through interviews, we want to establish that they have a good command of their work and, if necessary, work on improvement.
With this audit approach, we underline our vision of certification: the certificate is not an end in itself, but a tool to support good service delivery and a good information security management system.
