What is the Electronic Patient Record (EHR)?
The Electronic Patientënten Dossier is nothing but a digital repository of patients' medical data. It involves sensitive information and is therefore stored in a secure manner. In that EHR, the data is secure, but therefore also has limited access.
Doctors, specialists and other healthcare providers mostly work with their own EHR. This makes it difficult for patients to get an overview of all their data. The exchange of that data between the various systems requires very careful working methods.
