DigiTrust is now, with some pride, a member of Cyberveilig Nederland. Together with several other members, we discuss themes to ensure that digital resilience is increased in the Netherlands. A great initiative to which DigiTrust will actively contribute.
Who is Cyberveilig Nederland?
We is the interest group of the cybersecurity sector. The aim of Cyberveilig Nederland is to increase the digital resilience of the Netherlands, while also increasing quality and transparency within the growing cybersecurity sector. Cyberveilig Nederland was founded in June 2018 and now represents a broad and growing constituency of cybersecurity service providers.
Why is Cyber Safe Netherlands there>
97.1 per cent of the Dutch population has access to the internet. This places the Netherlands among the digital vanguard within Europe. This digitalisation brings great economic and social opportunities. To seize these opportunities, it is necessary to have lasting trust in our information and information systems. More attention to cyber security is therefore not a luxury but a necessity.
What does Cyberveilig Nederland do?
Cyber Safe Netherlands makes the case for 3 issues.
(1) Creating more transparency and quality in the market. We do this for example by developing labels, but also by making the complex cybersecurity profession more transparent.
(2) Showing that cybersecurity is not only a risk, but also an opportunity. That if companies develop fundamentally secure products and services, this is good for the Netherlands. (
3) Representing interests of the cybersecurity sector towards stakeholders such as government, science and politics.
